Masak Merah
Gingery Meat Stew
This delicious meat stew is a delicious taste of the African continet

Necessary Ingredients

1 Tablespoon margarine
1 small onion, minced
½ inch ginger root, grated
dash of ground coriander
dash of ground turmeric
15-oz can tomato sauce
1 large onion sliced
1 teaspoon chili powder
¼ teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon sugar
1lb of beef, cubed*

What to Do:

1) Melt margarine in frying pan.

2) Add and sauté small onion, ginger, coriander and tumeric.

3) Add tomato sauce, large onion and chili powder.

4) Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer for ten minutes.

5) Add salt, sugar and beef. Return to a boil. Simmer covered until the meat is tender (50-60 minutes)

6) Serve with rice or potatoes and enjoy!

*Chicken or Lamb may also be used.
